Spring
It’s so damn hot!
My eyes burn the most
My greatest impulse is to rip them out of their sockets shove them
down into a meat grinder
I want to return to the cooler days of winter
Get away from that wretched sun
I want to burn all the flowers and grasses
To destroy everyone
It’s so damn hot!
I can barely breathe
What little I do is accompanied by the annoying, pathetic sound
of a dying old man
It’s so damn hot!
I wish I could open a window
But if I do like Pandora’s box all the evils from my past
will come in and consume me whole
I want to return to the cooler days of winter
Get away from that wretched sun
I want to burn all the flowers and grasses
To destroy everyone
It’s so damn hot!
But I see all you frolic
While I am here writhing in agony cursing my eyes, cursing my nose,
cursing my whole body
It’s so damn hot!
Even with a dozen fans
And I’m pumped full of drugs made to alleviate my pain, but
it all just remains the same
I want to return to the cooler days of winter
Get away from that wretched sun
I want to burn all the flowers and grasses
To destroy everyone
I long for winter rains
To erase history’s stains
I would go to such great pains
Until not one flower remains
